Zheka, a guy from a provincial town, lives all alone and sees no prospects for his own future. He buried his ambitious dreams of performing on the big stage long ago and now only occasionally raps at local weddings. His life changes in an instant when he learns about the existence of his eight-year-old daughter living in the capital. Zheka sets off for Kyiv to prove to her that he is worthy of being a father, but accidentally ends up at the casting for a major music show. The glossy and cynical world of television becomes his only chance to be heard by his daughter, correct past mistakes, and find true love.
